Ageless Yogis :

Who are these Ageless Saints and Yogis ?In Western India, there is an area called the "Siddha Sthalee" or the land of the Siddhaas'. Siddha is a yogi, who attains control (siddhi) over mind and therefore matter. They perform such things normally, which are miracles for us mortals. But attaining siddhis is not their aim or goal but becoming one with God & to remain in his service by serving all humanity & all that exists. It is said that here exist, ageless yogis, some of whom are more than 500 years, 1000 years & even some yugas old. They live in caves & remain in a state of deep samaadhi (a state of deep meditation). They are in constant penance and only very few & extremely fortunate ones can ever see them.
How can we meet them ?
They come out of their caves for a ritual bathing event, only once in a year and that is when one can see them. Some of them are extremely old but very fit, with matted hair, which are sometimes 15 – 18 feet long and flowing beards. They come in a procession, dancing & singing and enter a small pond for the bathing ritual at midnight and likewise enter the forests and disappear. None, who have followed them, have ever been able to find, where they go, once inside the forest. The bathing event is an incredible event, when the yogis appear out of nowhere & disappear into nowhere but people can see their procession. This is a must for the people who still want to believe in the unbelievable and witness the incredible.
